Liverpool and Chelsea have received a significant transfer boost after Bournemouth softened their position on Alex Scott ahead of the January window.

Chelsea are in pole position to sign Alex Scott from Bournemouth, with Liverpool and Arsenal also interested.

Junior Kroupi is working overtime to return to full fitness following surgery. His impending return could be welcomed by Arsenal and PSG, who are understood to have identified him as a potential transfer target.

Chelsea will head the queue if Bournemouth's English midfielder Alex Scott, 23, becomes available in January.

Bournemouth's Alex Scott, 23, and Crystal Palace and England's Adam Wharton, 22, are Chelsea's primary midfield targets, with the West London club no longer interested in Monaco and Senegal's Lamine Camara, 22.
