Harry Maguire

The England international has slipped down the pecking order at Manchester Utd, with Erik ten Hag not convinced by what the Maguire offers. The 30 year old has only started one premier league game, with two sub apperances. There was much speculation in the summer over a move away, and with no improvement on minutes played a move away in January is again an option. Maguire need to play more often if he is to secure his spot in the England squad for Euro 2024.

West Ham failed to sign Maguire during the summer transfer window and will no doubt try once again for his signature. It's reported David Moyes is concerned about losing Kurt Zouma in January. Zouma is out of contract in June 2025 and the Saudi Pro League, are keen on his services. A move to the London Stadium in January could reignite Maguire's career and replace Zouma in the process.

AC Milan and AS Roma have also both been linked with Maguire. AC Milan would like to pair the centre back with Fikayo Tomori as Simon Kjaer will likely leave at the end of the season. Jose Mourinho's Roma will want to tighten up the defence and are short on numbers. Although West Ham remain the bookmakers' favourites to land sign the former Old Trafford skipper. Mohamed Salah

Jurgen Klopp insists he is not worried about renewed Saudi interest in Salah when the January transfer window opens. Liverpool rejected a massive offer in the summer, but an Al-Ittihad bid of around £200 million has been mooted for January. The Saudi side feel they have a chance if Liverpool fail to build on their promising start to the season. Liverpool are not in the Champions League this season leading to a reduction in income.

Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe has been heavily linked with an exit from Paris Saint-Germain for a considerable time now. Mbappe still hasn't committed his long-term future to PSG, with his contract still set to expire at the end of the season. As it stands, foreign clubs can begin pre-contract talks with Mbappe over a free transfer in the summer from 1st January 2024. If the Mbappe decides against signing a new contract then PSG must choose between selling him in January or risk losing him for free.

According to Spanish paper Sport, Real Madrid intend to reach a pre-contract agreement in January, before signing him for free in the summer. Over the last couple of years, Mbappe has long been linked to Real Madrid. But it is also reported that Chelsea and Liverpool intend to try their luck this coming January, both offering impressive contract terms.

Adrien Rabiot

A perennial transfer rumour favorite, Adrien Rabiot is again in the transfer mix. After months of speculation that he could leave Juventus, Rabiot signed a one-year extension to his contract in the summer. But that just delayed any decision by another 12 months.

Juventus are looking to tie down Rabiot to a longer deal and to get it done before January, when he can start talking to other teams. Man United were strongly linked in the summer, and could now try again in January. Calciomercato also report that Newcastle are keen, as they look to strengthen their squad for the Champions League.
