Liverpool remain interested in Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon but face having to pay at least £70m.

Liverpool are interested in Newcastle United's 23-year-old England winger Anthony Gordon, who began his career at Merseyside rivals Everton.

Everton are expected to drop their £60m asking price for English winger Anthony Gordon, 21, and accept around £40m plus add-ons after their original valuation put Newcastle United off.

Newcastle are looking at Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech, 29, as an alternative to Gordon as they are unwilling to pay Everton's £60m asking price.

Newcastle United are confident they can sign Anthony Gordon from Everton, but they are also eyeing Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea.
