Sunderland have enquired about Tottenham's Russia striker Roman Pavlyuchenko but will not pay the £13.8m asking price for the 29-year-old and will instead turn his attention to Stoke's Ricardo Fuller, Wigan's Hugo Rodallega and Birmingham's Kevin Phillips.
