Arsenal and Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Sporting wing-back Maxi Araujo

Michael Carrick could be given the dream start to his permanent spell at Manchester United if the club finalise the £69m capture of Sporting CP's Maxi Araujo.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea are showing an interest in signing Maximiliano Araujo this summer.

Tottenham and Chelsea are both looking at signing Sporting midfielder Maxi Araujo. The 26-year-old can play as a left winger or wing-back and is a regular for Uruguay.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has identified Real Sociedad's 25-year-old Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi, Bayer Leverkusen's 21-year-old Germany midfielder Florian Wirtz and Sporting's 24-year-old Uruguay winger Maximiliano Araujo as January transfer targets.
