Reading boss Jaap Stam is keen on bringing Dutch compatriot Ola John back to the Championship club from Portuguese champions Benfica.

FC Twente's 19-year-old winger Ola John, wanted by Sunderland and Aston Villa, is thought to prefer a move to Benfica, who are likely to secure his services for £9m, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

Tottenham are interested in signing Dutch striker Ola John, 19, for £4m as they look to secure more youth prospects in January.
